Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy patients indicated for surgical removal of bilateral impacted mandibular third molars with equal surgical difficulty

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with systemic disorders that potentially impair the healing process, such as uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, history of radiotherapy or chemotherapy to the head and neck, smokers, and pregnant or lactating mother were excluded from the study.
