The study is on efficacy and safety of OFA in geriatric patients undergoing lower thoracic and lumbar spine surgery. Patients more than 60 years age,ASA I II scheduled for surgery will be taken.primary outcome is better result in post op nrs score in ofa group.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient giving consent for the study Age more or equal to 65 years ASA physical status 1 and 2 Scheduled for elective lower thoracic or lumbar spine surgery (T7-L5) No known opioid dependence or allergy to study drugs

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients not giving consent for the study ASA III or IV Redo surgery MMSE less than 24 Chronic opioid use or history of substance abuse Cognitive impairment affecting pain assessment Contraindications to study drugs
