Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients of age 18 years and above in whom intercostal drainage tube is inserted post diagnostic medical thoracoscopy
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: -Patients who are less than 18 years of age -Pregnant women -Those who have undergone talc poudrage at the time of medical thoracoscopy -Therapeutic Medical Thoracoscopy -Pleural effusion with USG showing septations of grade 3 and 4

| To determine the mean time (in hours or days) taken for removal of chest drain following medical thoracoscopy, in patients managed with the addition of negative suction to the chest drain versus those managed without suction in the context of air or fluid drainage Timepoint: hours to days until the chest drain is fit for removal. Fit for chest drain removal 1.Complete lung expansion as determined by Chest Xray 2.No air leak 3.In patients where pleurodesis is planned, chest drain will be removed after pleurodesis. However, time taken for ICD removal will be calculated until the chest drain is fit for removal when both the criteria are met. | — |
