Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals diagnosed with Stage II periodontitis. Individuals who have smoked 100 cigarettes in their lifetime and who currently smoke cigarettes and smokeless tobacco chewers. Individuals with a confirmed histological diagnosis of oral squamous cell carcinoma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with systemic conditions like uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, autoimmune diseases, or other chronic inflammatory diseases. Individuals who have undergone periodontal therapy, antibiotic therapy or other immunosuppressive therapy within the past six months of the study. Pregnant and lactating women.
