Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Single posterior primary tooth loss indicated for band and loop space maintainer 2. Adequate clinical crown height 3. Patients who are willing to be the part of this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with para-functional habits 2. Participation in another trial 3. Children with special health care needs

To assess and compare the success rate of PEEK and PMMA band and loop space maintainer in children at 3,6,9 and 12 months.Based on the success and failure criteria clinical performance of space maintainers are evaluated as Success (S) or Failure (F)Timepoint: 3,6,9 and 12 months

To assess the gingival health following PEEK and PMMA band and loop space maintainer in children by using Loe and Silness gingival and plaque index.Timepoint: 3,6,9 and 12 months
