Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study will carried out for patients Scheduled for elective cardiac surgery requiring intraoperative TEE monitoring with ASA grade 1,2 and 3 with aged 18-75 years under General anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known esophageal pathology: esophageal stricture, diverticulum, tumor, perforation, severe esophagitis. History of esophagectomy or upper GI bleeding. Relative contraindications: Barrett s esophagus, esophageal varices, active peptic ulcer disease, previous neck radiation. Suspected/known cervical spine instability. Coagulopathy or thrombocytopenia. Patients refusing consent.

To determine the most reliable predictor of difficult TEE probe insertion among the selected parameters (neck circumference, POGO score, mouth opening, hyomental distance, sternomental distance).Timepoint: (a)- During pre-anesthetic chekup (b)- before intubation (c)-During TEE Probe insertion

1.To assess the association between age & difficulty of TEE probe insertion. 2.To assess the association between gender & difficulty of TEE probe insertion. 3.To assess the association between BMI & difficulty of TEE probe insertion. 4.Assessment of manoeuvres used in case of difficult TEE probe insertion. 5.To record number of insertion attempts, insertion time (from probe entry to successful placement). 6.Complications if any (mucosal injury, bleeding, hemodynamic instability, etc).Timepoint: (a)- During pre-anesthetic chekup (b)- before intubation (c)-During TEE Probe insertion
