Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with known history of malignancy Patients with known history of hepatic dysfunction Patients with known history of severe metabolic disease Patients with known history of autoimmune disease

Correlation of serial CAR measurements on day 0, 2, 5 and 7 in severe TBI with 3-month neurological outcome using GOSE scaleTimepoint: 0, 48, 120 and 168 hours post ICU admission

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Describe Temporal CAR trends during the first week and generate a prognostic model using ROC curves.Timepoint: 0, 48, 120 and 168 hours post ICU admission;Correlate serial CAR values with admission GCS, length of ICU and hospital stay, mortality, neurological outcomes at discharge, duration of mechanical ventilation and other complications.Timepoint: At discharge from ICU and at 3 months post head injury
