Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Certified drone pilots holding a valid drone pilot license and registration with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Individuals who are physically fit and able to swim in open water with or without a personal flotation device. Participants who are able to throw a life ring or life jacket to an approximate distance of twenty meters. Male and female participants who are willing to provide written informed consent and voluntarily participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals without formal training or certification in lifeguarding or drone operation.. Individuals who are medically unfit for open water activity. Individuals unwilling to provide written informed consent.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Total rescue time from alert to safe retrieval of the simulated drowning victim.Timepoint: Measured in seconds during each rescue attempt( from initiation of alert to completion of victim retrieval)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Shoreline reaching time measured as the time taken for the victim to reach the shore after receiving the flotation device in seconds. Total rescue time measured as the duration from initial alert to safe retrieval of the victim in seconds. Observational assessment of the drowning simulation from the drone operator and lifeguard perspective.Timepoint: Measured during each simulated rescue scenario at the time of the rescue drill on Day one and Day two.
