Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Estimated Fetal Weight (EFW) <10th Percentile: Fetuses with EFW below the 10th percentile for gestational age assigned identified by delphi consensus criteria 2. Gestational Age: Fetuses between 24 and 40 weeks of gestation. 3. Singleton Pregnancy: Only singleton pregnancies will be included. 4. Ultrasound Examination: Fetuses with a detailed ultrasound examination, including fetal biometry and Doppler assessment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Multiple Gestations: Fetuses from multiple gestations (twins, triplets, etc.) will be excluded. 2. Chromosomal Abnormalities: Fetuses with known chromosomal abnormalities will be excluded. 3. Major Congenital Anomalies: Fetuses with major congenital anomalies will be excluded. 4. Maternal Medical Conditions: Fetuses of mothers with pre-existing medical conditions that may affect fetal growth (e.g., preeclampsia, diabetes) will be excluded.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary Outcomes: Frontal lobe biometry (FAPD, OFD, ratio) by neurosonography Comparison between FGR and normal fetuses Correlation with FGR severity (EFW, UA/MCA Doppler, CPR) Secondary Outcomes: Additional biometry (BPD, HC) Gestational age association Subgroup analysis (early/late, mild/severe FGR) Maternal factors Doppler correlation Perinatal outcomesTimepoint: At 24-40 weeks of gestation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Frontal lobe biometry ratios Measurement of FAPD/OFD ratio and FAPD/HC ratio. Comparison of umbilical artery (PI, RI, S/D ratio) and middle cerebral artery Doppler indices between groups. Assessment of correlation between frontal lobe measurements (FAPD, OFD) and gestational age. Correlation of frontal lobe measurements with severity of FGR based on EFW percentiles and Doppler findings.Timepoint: At time of recruitment
