Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Type 1 diabetes, pancreatic diabetes, or other forms of diabetes.Pregnancy.Established CKD, CVA, CAD, CLD.Immobility or restricted mobility due to any reason.Use of medications such as steroids (including anabolic steroids), estrogen, or testosterone.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Type 1 diabetes, pancreatic diabetes, or other forms of diabetes.Pregnancy.Established CKD, CVA, CAD, CLD.Immobility or restricted mobility due to any reason.Use of medications such as steroids (including anabolic steroids), estrogen, or testosterone.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To determine the proportion, nutritional and physical activity related determinants of sarcopenia in adults aged 20-60 years with type 2 diabetes.Timepoint: Being a cross-sectional study, the primary outcome will be determined at the time of recruitment without any further follow-up. Recruitment period is 18months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To assess the relationship between sarcopenia, sarcopenic obesity & bone health 2. To assess the quality of life in adults aged 20-60 years living with sarcopenia & type 2 diabetes. 3. To develop a predictive tool for sarcopenia in adults with type 2 diabetes 4. To determine the biomarkers associated with sarcopenia & sarcopenic obesity in adults with type 2 diabetes.Timepoint: Baseline
