Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age group 21 to 60 years of both genders male and female. Body mass index between 18.5 and 29.5 kg per square meter. Patients diagnosed with hypothyroidism having TSH levels greater than or equal to 8 mIU per liter and less than or equal to 30 mIU per liter and receiving thyroxine therapy at a constant dose. Participants should be physically capable of engaging in yoga and Shatkarma practices. Individuals should be willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Thyroid malignancy. Patients having TSH levels higher than 30 mIU per liter. Individuals with hypertension. Any neurological disorders. Patients with complications of coronary artery disease. Pregnant women or those planning to conceive during the trial period. Individuals who have undergone recent surgery.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. Reduction in Serum Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) levels from baseline to post- intervention. Timepoint: Outcome measures will be assessed at baseline and at the end of the study at 12 weeks.
