Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus for a duration of greater than or equal to 5 years and on regular medication

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of lower limb amputation. Active lower limb ulcer. Systemic illness, which hinders participation in the study like cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, etc.

Prevalence of sarcopenia in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients assessed using AWGS 2019 consensus will be reported in percentage.Timepoint: At baseline ( at time of recruitment )

To explore the correlation between the use of different anti-diabetic medications & the prevalence of sarcopenia in T2DM patients. To evaluate the relationship between the duration of T2DM & the prevalence of sarcopenia.Timepoint: At baseline ( at time of recruitment )
