Intervention1: Nil: Nil Intervention2: Nil: Nil Intervention3: TCCD combined with SjVO2 guided management: TCCD will be done every 4 hourly on the brain to get CPP and ICP values for 5 days after ICU

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with severe traumatic brain injury

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients not giving consent, penetrating head trauma , Fixed, dilated pupils on admission, cardiac arrest before/during hospital stay, conditions with chronic anaemia, Contraindications to Jugular venous line placement (Coagulopathy, local infection, etc), Associated with High Cervical spine injury

To study the effects of combined SjvO2 monitoring plus TCCD guided haemodynamic management during the first 5 days of ICU admission after severe TBI vs conventional management on neurological outcomes at 3 months using the GOSE scaleTimepoint: 3 months after discharge from ICU

MeasureTime frame
To study the effects of combined monitoring vs conventional management on ICU length of stay, total hospital stay and neurological outcomes at discharge using the GOSE scale.Timepoint: At discharge from hospital;To study any complications associated with combined monitoring vs conventional monitoring during the first 5 days of ICU admission.Timepoint: 5 days
