Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Individuals who meet the criteria for persistent depressive disorder, as per the DSM 5-TR (screened using DIAMOND, and PDS), who have been symptomatic for at least majority of the last 2 years Individuals fluent and conversant in English, with High school level reading and comprehension ability Individuals with first onset of depression during peripartum period. Individuals with mild to marked symptoms of depression based on screening by DIAMOND, and who receive scores greater than 8 in HDRS and 14 in BDI (indicating mild depression or greater severity) Individuals who are stabilized on pharmacotherapy for at least 4 weeks or not on pharmacotherapy at the start of the trial
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 Individuals who have current comorbid Axis I disorders which may interfere with their ability to actively participate in therapy, such as, but not limited to, organic mental disorders, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and complex- post traumatic stress disorder. 2 Individuals with substance use disorders (except tobacco use disorder) 3 Individuals with active suicidal ideations or risk of self harm 4 Individuals with moderate to severe personality disorder 5 Individuals with Chronic/life threatening physical illnesses such as autoimmune conditions, diagnosed pain disorders, neurological disorders etc. 6 Individuals who have undergone structured therapy for depression in the past 3 months
