Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA 1 and 2 Scheduled for functional endoscopic sinus surgery under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known allergy to local anaesthetics Bleeding disorders or coagulation abnormalities Infection at the needle puncture site Presence of neuropathy Chronic renal disease

MeasureTime frame
To elicit the immediate postoperative pain scores(assessed using numerical rating scale NRS) among patients receiving USG guided SZMNB with bupivacaine and compare with those receiving USG guided SZMNB with ropivacaineTimepoint: Immediate postoperative period till 24 hours postoperative period

MeasureTime frame
1.To assess the total analgesic requirement in the first 24 hours postoperatively between the two groups 2.To evaluate postoperative hemodynamic parameters in both groups 3.To assess surgeon satisfaction score (Likert 5 point scale) 4.To monitor for block related or postoperative complications such as nasal bleeding, nausea, vomiting, facial numbness, swellingTimepoint: Immediate postoperative period till 24 hours postoperative period
