Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients diagnosed with pre-hypertension and stage-1 Essential Hypertension. 2.Systolic blood pressure ranges between 120-159 mmhg and diastolic ranges between 80-99 mmhg 3.Patients aged between 30 yrs to 60 yrs irrespective of sex 4.Patients who are willing to give informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Secondary Hypertension ( associated with Diabetes Mellitus, Renal Failure, Neurological defects, Endocrinal disorders, etc. 2.Patients With Stage 2 Hypertension 3.Pregnent Women and Lactating Mothers

Primary

MeasureTime frame
This study may provide an improvement in blood pressure levels in patients with pre-hypertension and stage-1 essential hypertension after treatment with Brahmi churna and Sarpagandha churna.Timepoint: follow up will be on 8th, 15th, 22nd, 30th days.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
This study may provide Reduction in severity of associated symptoms (Shirshoola, Bhrama, Klamaa, Tandra, Hriddrava, Shwasa) after treatment.Timepoint: follow up will be on 8th, 15th, 22nd, 30th days.
