Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Patients in the age group between 16 to 60 years irrespective of sex 2 Chronicity of Shwitra below 10 years of included. 3 Patients having classical signs and symptoms of Shwitra such as Arunata (vermilion colored), Mandala (circular),Rukshata(dryness), Paridhvanshi (when rubbed scales off morbid skin) for Shwitra. 4 Patient willing to sign the consent form. 5 Patient should be capable of obeying Pathya apathya.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1Patients below 16 and above 60 years . 2 Patients having chronicity greater than 10 years. 3 Patients of cardiac, renal, hepatic diseases, other conditions such as insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM), non-IDDM. 4Gravid and lactating women, women in fertile age planning for conception within the next 3 months. 5 Patients of patches due to burning or chemical explosion, lesions at Guhyanga (genital organ), Panipadatala (sole of palm and feet), Oshtha (lips), Sarvanga (generalized lesion over the body), and patches with Raktaroma (reddish hair) and Samsakta (coalescent) were excluded 6 Patients having any allergic history or sensitivity will be excluded for study 7 Children with Albinism (congenital lack of melanin) were excluded. 8 White non-sensational spots, which are characteristic of leprosy. 9 Any adverse reaction with treatment.
