Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA physical status 1 or 2, 2. Elective forearm surgery under SCBP block 3. Provision of written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient refusal, Coagulopathy 2. Local infection at the injection site, 3. BMI more than 30, 4. Allergic to local anaesthetic agent, 5. Severe systemic, Neuromuscular or psychiatric condition

MeasureTime frame
Whether the addition of 0.5 percent bupivacaine with fentanyl 50 mcg in supraclavicular block provides superior postoperative analgesia and early onset motor and sensory block as compared to 0.5 percent bupivacaine with pentazocine 30 mg in patients undergoing upper limb surgery.Timepoint: Assessment will be done at every 30 minutes after surgery upto 12 hours. Overall assessment will be done at 24 weeks.
