Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients fulfilling Laskin s diagnostic criteria for MPDS, including the presence of the four cardinal signs: Unilateral pain Muscle tenderness Clicking or popping sound in the temporomandibular joint Limitation of jaw movements No radiographic evidence of temporomandibular joint pathology No tenderness of the TMJ on palpation via the external auditory meatus. 3. Patients willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with any gross anatomical deformity in relation to the TMJ Pregnancy and lactation Patients with any systemic joint or muscle disorder Patients with serious systemic diseases(e.g., rheumatoid arthritis and epilepsy) Patients undergone TMJ surgeries Any painful conditions (other than myofascial trigger points) affecting the orofacial region.
