Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 16-30 years Clinical and radiographic evidence of maxillary transverse deficiency Permanent dentition with adequate anchorage for hybrid MSE Good periodontal health Absence of craniofacial syndromes or cleft lip/palate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous maxillary expansion, orthognathic surgery, or airway surgery Contraindications to CBCT imaging Active periodontal disease or missing key anchorage teeth Systemic conditions affecting bone metabolism Pregnancy

1. To quantify three-dimensional volumetric changes in the nasal cavity, nasopharynx, and oropharynx following MARPE at baseline (T0), post-expansion (T1), and 6-month retention (T2) 2. To evaluate changes in minimal cross-sectional area (MCA) in each airway region across the study period 3. To assess changes in airflow resistance and pressure drop across the nasal and pharyngeal airwayTimepoint: 1.
