Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1. Development and validation of Pediatric Hospital Anxiety Scale (PHAS) assessed by: Content validity (Content Validity Index I-CVI, S-CVI) Internal consistency (Cronbach s alpha) Test retest reliability (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient) Construct validity (Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis) Criterion validity (correlation with existing pediatric anxiety scaleTimepoint: Baseline and 48 hours (for test retest reliability during validation phase) | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1. Identification of factors contributing to hospital-related anxiety among hospitalized children. 2. Association between baseline anxiety levels & selected demographic, clinical, & hospital-related variables. 3.Identification of independent predictors of hospital-related anxiety using multivariate regression analysis. 4. Age-specific factor structure of hospital-related anxiety across different pediatric age groups using factor analysis.Timepoint: Baseline (at time of admission), during hospitalization (at time of assessment), & 48 hours (for test retest reliability during validation phase) | — |
