Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Clinically diagnosed otosclerosis scheduled for surgery. 2.Intraoperative confirmation of otosclerotic focus. 3.Patients providing informed written consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Revision stapes surgery 2.Middle ear pathology other than otosclerosis 3.Middle ear pathology concomitant with otosclerosis 4.Coexisting retrocochlear or neurological causes of hearing loss or tinnitus 5.Non-consenting patients
