Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged between 5 to 12 years with a clinical diagnosis of acute tonsillitis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children currently receiving any other treatment for Tonsillitis. Children who are immunocompromised are excluded from the study. Children presenting with hyperpyrexia. Children with history of seizures. Children having ear pain as associated symptom

To assess and compare the redness of mucous membrane and enlargement of tonsils in acute tonsillitis using a graded clinical scale between children receiving Nimbadi Arka Spray and those receiving Nimbadi Arka Kabala as add on to standard Ayurvedic treatmentTimepoint: 1st, 3rd, 7th day

1. To assess and compare dysphagia and pricking pain in acute tonsillitis using a Visual Analogue Scale between children receiving Nimbadi Arka Spray and those receiving Nimbadi Arka Kabala as add on to standard Ayurvedic treatment. 2. To assess and compare halitosis in acute tonsillitis using a graded clinical scale between children receiving Nimbadi Arka Spray and those receiving Nimbadi Arka Kabala as add on to standard Ayurvedic treatment.Timepoint: 1st, 3rd, 7th day
