Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ASA physical status I and II Age 18 to 60 years BMI 18.5 to 30 kg per m Scheduled for elective surgery under general anaesthesia Requiring endotracheal intubation Mallampati grade I or II
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal ASA III or above History of allergy to propofol or its components Anticipated difficult airway Pregnant or lactating women Patients on medications affecting cardiovascular system (beta blockers, calcium channel blockers etc.)
