Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Body mass index greater than 25 kilograms per meter squared and less than 40 kilograms per meter squared Diagnosed with dyslipidemia according to modern criteria Total cholesterol greater than or equal to 200 milligrams per deciliter Triglycerides greater than or equal to 150 milligrams per deciliter Low density lipoprotein greater than or equal to 131 milligrams per deciliter Very low density lipoprotein greater than or equal to 41 milligrams per deciliter

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with body mass index greater than 40 kilograms per meter squared History of cardiovascular events such as myocardial infarction and congestive heart failure, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, or thyroid disorders Lipid disturbances secondary to medications or systemic illness Pregnant or lactating women Renal failure or hepatic failure
