Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Avascular necrosis of hip and known case of sickle cell disease Willing to undergo CT scan for follow up

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those undergoing revision total hip arthroplasty Osteonecrosis due to other causes like smoking, alcohol and steroid intake Prior acetabular surgery Complex deformities requiring use of revision style hip prosthesis

MeasureTime frame
To assess implant migration of more than 0.5mm at 1 year follow up using a CT ScanTimepoint: 1 year

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess cup stability using Moore s Radiographic Signs (adapted to CT) in both groups.Timepoint: 1 year;To evaluation changes in cup inclination and version over time in both groups.Timepoint: 1 year;To compare clinical outcomes between the two groups using Modified Harris Hip Score (mHHS).Timepoint: 1 year
