Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with 30-50% TBSA burns and inhalational injury 2. Presentation less than 12 hours of burn injury 3. Patients willing to give consent for participation in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with pre-existing renal dysfunction 2. Patients with ongoing treatment with XO inhibitors at the time of presentation 3. Known hypersensitivity to Allopurinol
