Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To calculate the healthcare related Carbon Footprint (CF) of healthcare interventions for EoL care patients using the following functional units: Carbon Intensity per Patient-Bed-Day (kgCO2e/day). Total Carbon Footprint per EoL Episode (kgCO2e/admission)Timepoint: baseleine at admission, then everyday till death/discharge from ward

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Scope Stratification -clinical interventions (e.g. specific drug classes vs waste). Waste Profiling Quantify the plastic to total waste ratio & the CO2e impact of different disposalTimepoint: baseleine at admission then everyday till death or discharge from ward
