Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 . Adults aged 18 years and above. 2. Evidence of a ruptured cerebral aneurysm established through CT angiography (CTA) or digital subtraction angiography (DSA). 3. Admission to the study hospital within 72 hours of the hemorrhagic event.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Inability to perform TCD examination due to the absence of an adequate acoustic temporal bone window. 2. History of neurological diseases that could interfere with the evaluation of CA, such as ischemic stroke, significant carotid artery stenosis, or severe traumatic brain injury.
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1. To study the prevalence of impaired CEREBRAL AUTOREGULATION in patients of aNEURYSMAL SUBARACHNOID HEMORRHAGE as seen by TRANSIENT HYPEREMIC RESPONSE RATIO . 2.To evaluate the functional outcome of aSAH patients using modified rankin scale at 28th day post ictus in intact CA compared to impaired CA.Timepoint: Modified rankin scale on 28th day post ictus | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To evaluate the correlation between impaired CA & cerebral vasospasm using TCD . Timepoint: Twenty eight days;To evaluate the correlation between impaired CA & cerebral infarction on neuroimaging as an indicator of Delayed cerebral ischemia.Timepoint: Twenty eight days | — |
