Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.All Preschool children enrolled in the selected schools that follow the Karnataka state curriculum and use English as the medium of instruction. 2.The study will include children who are simultaneous or early sequential bilinguals. Children exposed to English alongside one or more Indian languages (Kannada, Hindi, or other regional languages) will be included. information regarding age of acquisition, proficiency and contextual use of each language will be collected through the Child Language Experience and Proficiency Questionnaire (LEAP-Q). 3.Children from all types of socioeconomic backgrounds will be included in the study. 4.Teachers with a minimum of two years of experience teaching in an English-medium preschool classroom will be included. 5.Children should be attending school regularly

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of or presenting with any sensory/ cognitive/ neurological / social impairment (screened using Seguin form board test (SFBT) and WHO ten-question disability screening checklist (Singhi et al., 2007)
