Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I to IV patients of scheduled for elective hand ,wrist and forearm surgeries. Patients of age 18 and above Patients on anticoagulants who meet the ASRA guidelines for peripheral nerve block.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Allergy to local anaesthetics Bleeding and Clotting disorders Lymphatic disorders like lymphangitis of the arm, history of axillary lymph node dissection and large hematomas in the elbow Infection at the planned injection site Peripheral neurological disease Inability to comprehend study related procedure

To compare the efficacy of ultrasound and peripheral nerve stimulator guided brachial plexus block given by mid- humeral or axillary approach in patients posted for distal upper limb surgeries in terms of Success rate - the percentage of patients in each group in which there is complete sensory block at 15 minutes after the performance of the block.
