Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Subjects aged between 21-80 years irrespective of gender, religion, occupation, socio-economic status and educational status. 2. Subjects who fulfill the diagnostic criteria of 1ST and 2nd degree Rotator cuff tear with symptoms of pain, restrictred range of motion and stiffness of the shoulder joint (based on Ellman classification). 3. Subjects who have Lakshanas of Shoola,Stamba and Bahupraspandita Hara in Amsasandhi. 4. Subjects willing to give consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Subjects who fulfill the diagnostic criteria of 3rd degree Rotator cuff Tear (based on Ellman classification) 2. Subjects diagnosed with adhesive capsulitis,subacromial bursitis. 3. Subjects diagnosed with immuniocompromised conditions such as HIV ,HbsAg,RBS,X-RAY SHOULDER JOINT (AP/LAT) 4. Subjects diagnosed with rhumetoid artritis,psoriatic artritis. 5. Subjects allergic to diclofenac.

To assess and compare the efficacy of Shodhita Kupilu transdermal patch with the diclofenac transdermal patch in the management of pain associated with Avabahuka (1st and 2nd degree rotator cuff tear) using standardized pain assessment tools such as the visual analogue scale (VAS). 1. To improve the quality of life. 2. To understand the mode of action of Transdermal system of drug delivery. 3. To re-evaluate the efficacy of Diclofenac Transdermal patch in the management of pain in this study population 4. To conduct the literature review of Avabahuka and Rotator Cuff tear. 5.To conduct the literature review on Kupilu . 6. To improvise the outcome of conservative management. 7. To conduct the literature review of diclefenac transdermal patch. Timepoint: Assesment on 5th and 7th day.—
