Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Gestational age more than or equal to 32 weeks 2. Admission to the NICU with in 24 hours of life. 3. Diagnosis of respiratory distress requiring respiratory support defined as any of the following with in first 24 hours of life 3a. Supplementary oxygen Fio2 more than 0.21 3b. Non invasive respiratory support ( NIPPV, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula) 3c. Mechanical ventilation
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Major congenital anomalies incompatible with life or requiring surgical intervention within the first week (e.g., congenital diaphragmatic hernia, complex congenital heart disease, esophageal atresia) 2. Transfer to another facility before 5 days of age 3. Death before 5 days of age 4. Missing critical baseline data that cannot be imputed (e.g., gestational age, birthweight)
