Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants included in this study will consist of both male and female young adults between eighteen and thirty years of age. They will be classified into normal weight, overweight, or obese categories based on their body mass index. Individuals with a body mass index ranging from eighteen point five to twenty four point nine will be considered normal weight, those with a body mass index between twenty five and twenty nine point nine will be classified as overweight, and those with a body mass index of thirty or above will be categorized as obese. Eligible participants must be either students or working adults affiliated with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Manipal. In addition, participants must be willing to wear an accelerometer device for a minimum of three valid days, which must include at least one weekend day, in order to capture representative physical activity and sedentary behaviour patterns. Individuals with physical disabilities or chronic illnesses that significantly affect mobility will be excluded from the study, as these conditions may influence habitual movement patterns. Participants with incomplete or invalid accelerometer data, including those who do not meet the minimum wear time requirements, will also be excluded to ensure accurate and reliable measurement of activity patterns and sedentary behaviour.

Exclusion criteria: Physical disabilities or chronic illnesses affecting mobility. Incomplete accelerometer data (less than 3 valid days).
