Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Athletes aged 18 to 30 years. 2. History of at least one lateral ankle sprain in the past year. 3. Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool (CAIT) score less than 24. 4. Participating in sports for greater than 3 years. 5. Recurrent episodes of ankle giving way .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Acute ankle injury less than 6 weeks. 2. History of lower-limb fracture or surgery. 3. Neurological or vestibular disorders. 4. Cognitive or medical conditions limiting exercise participation.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Dynamic postural control assessed using the Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT) expressed as normalized reach distance.Timepoint: Baseline (pre-intervention) and after completion of the 6-week training intervention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Functional performance measured using the Foot and Ankle Ability Measure (FAAM ADL and Sport subscales). Timepoint: Baseline (Week 0) and Post-intervention (Week 6).;Single-Leg Hop Test performance.
