Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Pregnant women aged 18 to 40 years, ensuring legal capacity to provide informed consent. -Currently attending antenatal care at the selected private hospital. -Self-reported experience of domestic violence in the past one year or currently. - Medically and psychologically stable to participate in a brief psychosocial intervention delivered by trained nurses. -Capacity to provide informed consent, including written, verbal, or witnessed consent for non-literate participants. -Willingness to participate in both intervention sessions and follow-up assessments.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women aged below 18 years. -Women with medical or obstetric emergencies requiring immediate clinical management. -Women with severe cognitive impairment or acute psychiatric illness. -Women are unwilling to provide informed consent, preventing meaningful consent or intervention engagement.

MeasureTime frame
Change in Quality of Life (QoL) scores among women experiencing domestic violence, measured using a validated WHO QoL BREF scale.Timepoint: Baseline assessment will be conducted during the antenatal period at the time of enrolment (after obtaining informed consent and prior to intervention delivery). Follow-up assessment of the primary outcome will be conducted once in the immediate postnatal period, within 48 72 hours after delivery, before discharge from the hospital.
