Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age 65 85 years. Capability to perform physical fitness assessment tests or dynamometry. Sufficient musculoskeletal function to safely perform resistance or aerobic exercises (no severe joint deformities, contractures, or severe arthritis preventing exercise). An HD vintage more then 3 months and signing the consent form. No perfusion problems through an arteriovenous fistula to maintain adequate blood flow (250). No severe hemodialysis-related complications. Clinical and haemodynamic stable during the last 3 months. SARC-F score more then 4, indicating risk of sarcopenia.Screened and referred by a nephrologist to participate in an exercise program, based on screening for safety and medical suitability.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Acute infectious or other inflammatory illnesse Congestive heart failure, lung failure, severe liver disease, or active cancer Myocardial infarction or angina pectoris within the past 12 months. Pregnancy, kidney transplant within 6 months. Severe visual or hearing impairments that interfere with ability to follow exercise instructions or complete assessments. Inability to give informed consent. Severe cognitive and Neurological impairments (e.g., recent stroke with hemiparesis, severe Parkinson s disease)or diagnosed dementia that limits participation in physical activity or assessments. Patient having femoral fistula as access for HD. Hemodynamic instability (systolic blood pressure less then 90 mmHg or mean arterial pressure more then 60 mmHg) Those deemed unfit or denied clearance by the nephrologist will be excluded. All of the above exclusion criteria will be assessed and confirmed by a qualified nephrologist prior to enrolment.
