Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA 1 AND 2 18-60 yrs age Undergoing major abdominal surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ASA 3 nd 4 Heart block and arrhythmias Basal heart rate less than 60 Patients on anti hypertensives Known allergy to study drug Known chronic use of analgesics and sedatives Renal and hepatic dysfunction Psychiatric disorders Respiratory disorders and sleep apnea
