Intervention1: Morinda citrifolia supplementation: Scaling and root planing will be performed. Morinda citrifolia tablets or capsules 1000 mg will be administered orally once daily for 90 days Control

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 18 to 55 years, presence of at least 20 natural teeth, plaque and gingivitis index greater than or equal to 1.5 subjects having probing depth not more than 4 mm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of periodontal treatment in the last 3 months. History of antibiotic or anti-inflammatory drug usage during the last 3 months. History of any known systemic disease that could alter the healing response of the oral tissues. Smokers or individuals using tobacco in any form. Pregnant or lactating women. History of kidney or liver disease.
