Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the serum and salivary PGLYRP1 levels in patients with generalized stage III/IV periodontitis with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus. 2. To compare and correlate the serum and salivary PGLYRP 1 level in patients with generalized stage III/IV periodontitis with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus.Timepoint: Baseline

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To correlate the serum and salivary levels of PGLYRP 1 with the clinical parameters in generalized stage III/IV periodontitis with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus. 2. To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of these biomarkers to discriminate between periodontal health and disease using ROC.Timepoint: Baseline
