Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ASA grade I and II Singleton pregnancy Gestational age greater than or equal to 36 weeks Height greater than 140cm Valid informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: History of hypersensitivity to amide-type local anaesthetics Contraindications to spinal anaesthesia Eclampsia Significant cardiac disease (NYHA Class III or IV) Severe anaemia (Hb less than 7 gm per dl) Morbid obesity (BMI greater than 40 kg per m )
