Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants undergoing elective spinal laminectomy for the first time Able to read and speak English or Konkani Mini Mental Status Examination (MMSE) score more than or equal to 24 Willingness to participate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants who have undergone previous spine surgery Participants undergoing spinal laminectomy for neoplasms or spinal space occupying lesion History of psychiatric disorders (e.g., depression) Presence of systemic or inflammatory rheumatic diseases (e.g., spondyloarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis)
