Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children age 9 to 14 years The study comprised patients who had decayed missing filled teeth scores of 1 2 and were in good general condition

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with fluoride treatment in the past 2 weeks or antibiotic use in the last 3 months were excluded to avoid influencing results Children with systemic illnesses using other mouth rinses undergoing orthodontic treatment or having deleterious parafunctional habits were excluded
