Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Nursing officers working in selected hospitals of Bangalore. Nursing officers aged 25 60 years. Nursing officers who are willing to participate in the study. Nursing officers who can understand and communicate in English or Kannada. Nursing officers available to attend the 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programme. Nursing officers who provide written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Nursing officers who are currently undergoing any formal stress management, yoga, meditation, or mindfulness training programme. Nursing officers diagnosed with severe psychiatric illness or currently under psychiatric treatment. Nursing officers on long-term psychotropic medication. Nursing officers who are unwilling to participate or unable to attend the intervention sessions regularly. Nursing officers who have participated in a similar mindfulness-based programme within the past six months.

Primary Outcome Measure 1 Change in perceived stress score Measured using a standardized Perceived Stress Scale among nursing officers from baseline (pre-intervention) to immediately after completion of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programme (8 weeks). Primary Outcome Measure 2 Change in anxiety level Measured using a validated anxiety assessment scale among nursing officers from baseline to post-intervention (8 weeks). Timepoint: Time Point of Measurement Baseline (before intervention) Post-intervention (after completion of MBSR programme 8 weeks)

Secondary Outcome Measure 1 Change in level of stressors Measured using a structured stressors assessment scale among nursing officers from baseline to post-intervention (after completion of the 8-week MBSR programme). Secondary Outcome Measure 2 Level of satisfaction with the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programme Assessed using a structured satisfaction questionnaire immediately after completion of the intervention. Secondary Outcome Measure 3 Qualitative feedback on participant experience Explored through semi-structured interviews or open-ended questions post-intervention to understand participants perceptions and experiences of the programme.
