Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare operative time between the patient underwent laparoscopic versus open repair in patients with peptic perforation peritonitis.Timepoint: Intra-operative (measured during surgery on Day 0).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1 Post operative pain score (VAS scale) 2 Incidence of post operative complications (wound infection, respiratory complications, intra abdominal abcess). 3 Length of hospital stay (days). 4 Mortality & morbidity rates (%). 5 Change in laboratory parameters from baseline Timepoint: 1 Post operative 24 hours (Day 1), 48 hours (Day 2), 72 hours (Day 3), & at 2 weeks follow up. 2 During hospital stay & at 2 weeks (Day 14), 6 weeks, & 12 weeks post surgery. 3 Assessed from day of admission to day of discharge (index hospitalization). 4 During hospital stay & within 30 days post surgery. 5 Pre operative (baseline, before surgery) post operative Day 3
