Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects of the age group between 45-70 years of both genders who fit into the diagnostic criteria will be included. Subjects who are fit for Basti Karma will be included. Subjects who are willing to provide informed consent will be included. Newly diagnosed and treated cases will be included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Complications or co-morbidities of OA, like Pseudogout, Spontaneous osteonecrosis of the knee, Baker cyst, Bursitis, Anserine bursitis (knee), Charcot joint, Prosthetic knee joint, will be excluded. Subjects with a history of recent trauma, fracture, and recent knee surgery will be excluded. Subjects with severe and acute pain and those with prolonged dependency on NSAIDs will be excluded. Subjects with Grade IV OA findings based on Kellgren and Lawrence radiological scale will be excluded. Subjects with Endocrine disorders and those who are on Cortisone therapy will be excluded.
