Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Participants between the age group of 13 years - 17 years. 2.Overtly healthy adolescents fulfilling the diagnostic criteria of GAD as per DSM-5 criteria. 3.Participants with mild and moderate features of GAD. 4.Participants with a prior history of anti- anxiety medications will be included only after the completion of washout period (minimum of 2 weeks) and having no withdrawal symptoms. 5.Consent from parents who are willing to sign the consent form and follow the protocol.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Children who have past history of other Psychiatric illness such as Major depressive disorders, OCD, ADHD. 2.Children who are known case of other systematic illness such as Epilepsy, Auto-immune disorders. 3.Children who are currently taking anti- anxiety medications such as SSRIs, benzodiazepines or other psychotropic drugs. 4.Children who have recently discontinued the medications but not have completed the required washout period or currently experiencing withdrawal symptoms. 5.Children with features of severe GAD. 6.Children who have history of hypersensitivity to any drug.
