Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children diagnosed as the case of Ahiputana (Diaper Rash). 2. Infants between the age group of birth upto 1 year irrespective of gender, socioeconomic status, religion. 3. Infants whose parents are willing to participate them in the study by giving informed parent consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Infants who have other generalized skin infections such as infantile psoriasis. 2. Infants suffering from any systemic disorders. e.g. acute gastro enteritis with dehydration, Lactose intolerance, Secondary Infection etc.

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome of this study is a reduction in the severity of Ahiputana (diaper dermatitis) as assessed by the Diaper Dermatitis Severity Scale, comparing the clinical effect of Arjunadi cream with Panchavalkala ointment. Timepoint: 0th day, 4th day, 8th day and 15th day

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in individual symptoms of Ahiputana such as pain, itching, erythema, discharge, and lesions, along with assessment of treatment safety, tolerability, and caregiver acceptability of Arjunadi cream compared to Panchavalkala ointment.Timepoint: 0th day and 15th day
