Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients of ASA physcial grade 1 and 2, posted for elective surgeries of upper limb

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: local site inefction, coagulopathy (INR MORE THAN 1.5, PLATELETS LESS THAN 1,00,000), hypersensitivity to local anaesthetic drugs, severe renal impairment, pregnant women, neck deformities like torticollis, pre existing peripheral neuropathy

To evaluate the effect of Inj Magensium Sulphate as an adjuvant to Inj Ropivacaine 0.5% on the Duration of Sensory and Motor blockade in patients undergoing supraclavicular brachial plexus block for upper limb surgeriesTimepoint: Hemodynamic parameters, Duration of Motor and Sensory Blockade are assessed at 0 minutes, 5, 10, 15, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 400, 640, 880, 1120, 1360, 1600 minutes post block.

to assess & compare onset time of sensory & motor blockade, post operative analgesics required, hemodynamic stability & incidence of adverse effectsTimepoint: hemodynamic parameters, onset time of motor & sensory blockade are assessed at 0 minutes, 5, 10, 15, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 400, 640, 880, 1120, 1360, 1600 minutes post block.
