Confirmed diagnosis of infective keratitis defined by the presence of corneal epithelial or stromal infiltration with associated ocular inflammation, verified clinically by slit lamp examination. 2. Age greater than 5 years (pediatric and adult populations eligible). 3. Presentation within 4-8 weeks of symptom onset, enabling adequate microbiology sampling and microbiological characterization. 4. Residence in the study hospitals catchment area or agreement to attend follow-up visits. 5. Willingness to participate in microbiological sampling, molecular diagnostics, and omics analysis including tear fluid collection like corneal scraping or tear sample or optional blood sample. 6. Control- Normal tear sample will be included as a control group for comparison.
